Till horizon

I know not what they say
I hear no words
It ain't just a simple play
It ain't about virtues and rewards

Some want him to be a prince
The myth of tall dark and handsome are their dreams
Some want him to be muscled and strong
Protect her when things go wrong
Some want him to be rich
More then the man..its they money that they wish

I just want him to be with me
Hold my hand and say 'Let it be'
I just want the assurance of his eyes
That says..' i will go with you..As far as the horizon lies'

A daughter

I am an originator

I am the source of life, I am a creator

I nurture your life, I am a Mother

My every prayer demands your happiness, I am a Sister

In my lap you forget your sorrows, I am a Lover

Even I am a reflection of you, I am Your Daughter

Let me breathe, Let me grow

Give me a chance to spread my wings and Let me soar

I have lead the nation

At times fighting valiantly for its reputation

I have reached the space, I have touched the moon

My presence all over the world , you shall see soon

I have a reservoir of strength , more then you can measure

I can lead an entire organization and guard its treasure

My beauty has been crowned time and again

A source of inspiration and love I shall always remain

May a paintings , Many a poetry , Many a piece of art

Of which history witnesses me to be a part

Today i am a doctor and also an engineer

I am a diplomat and also a lawyer

Sacrifice is expected of me, And sacrifice i have made

But I remain a burden to you and that makes me sad

I Glue the family together , I make the ends meet

But i am subjected to cruelties and ill-treat

I have been exploited, I have been tried

Still i have never muttered a word, I have never cried

I deserve a life, I deserve to be me

I am as much a part of you, as you want HIM to be

Still you kill me ruthlessly before anything i can see

Give me chance and even I can be all that you want your son to be....

No more meaningless giggles and winking of eyes

No more happy morning coffee
